A week after photographing my dog at White River, I returned to the White River Sno-Park area. Today, the snow was gone. White River was murky and fluctuating. At one point, I photographed the river, then the level increased briefly, before receding about six minutes later, demonstrated with a couple of my feet shots.
A storm system passed through the area on Saturday, bringing heavy rain and mild wind that melted the snow. This seems to be a common trend for Mt. Hood after a significant first snowfall of the season that a “pineapple express” follows.
