A large tree limb broke and landed on communication wires, closing SE 32nd Ave. in Milwaukie, Oregon, Tuesday morning.
Sometime in the early morning of August 29, 2017, a large tree limb snapped and came to a rest on communication wires along SE 32nd Ave. Milwaukie Police closed SE 32nd Ave. between SE Filbert St. and SE Olsen St. in the Ardenwald neighborhood.
The tree limb did not appear to be resting on the high-voltage wires above the communication wires, sparing any power outages in the area.
Through traffic, including the Trimet Line 75 detoured either via SE Filbert St. or SE Malcolm St. and returning via SE Olsen St. SE Olsen St. is a narrow residential street with on-street parking east of SE 32nd Ave., and even narrower street with soft shoulder west of SE 32nd Ave.
As of 9:15 a.m. Pacific Time, SE 32nd Ave remained closed as the tree limb rests on the wires. Milwaukie Police, Milwaukie Public Works, and Milwaukie Code Enforcement were at the scene.
On one note, the previous post Downed tree closes SE 32nd Ave. image was taken with a mobile phone. The post was composed with WordPress for Android. I reposted this story with additional and better images from my dSLR and included more details to the story. My “Snapshot” posts are meant to be pithy.
