In the historic downtown Milwaukie sits a old-time soda fountain inside a collector’s mall. Today’s lunch stop takes us to Main Street Collector’s Mall and Soda Fountain where I am served with a fresh deli sandwich, a side of potato salad, and a creamy Italian soda. For the ten years I have lived in Milwaukie, this is my first visit.

The classic soda fountain offers custom sandwiches which the customer orders by circling the ingredients of choice on a form. Or one can order a hot dog. After all, it is a soda fountain, so they offer a variety of hand-mixed specialty sodas, floats and ice cream sodas, phosphates, and hot beverages. They also have a variety of classic ice cream sundaes.

Main Street Soda Fountain is open everyday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. It is located at 10909 S.E. Main St. in Milwaukie.
