Oak Grove Walmart Protest Rally

About 100 people attended the rally against a Walmart store in the Oak Grove area south of Milwaukie late Saturday morning. Participants gathered at the vacant G.I. Joe’s store parking lot along McLoughlin Blvd., waving signs and banners, and chanting against the giant global corporation. Some of the chants included “Walmart sucks” and “Walmart means local businesses closing down.” Portland mayor candidate Jefferson Smith also attended and spoke before the crowd.
