Poop Creek

Poop Creek first came up on my radar in a Failblog.org post. I check it out to confirm that this creek is really named Poop Creek. it on Google Maps and a Green Trail Map I have for hiking. Today, I head up into the hills in the Mt. Hood National Forest to check out this oddly named creek.
The result: Poop Creek is nothing more than a basic small mountain stream that’s about three miles in length and confluences with Last Creek. There’s really not much to it, not even for swimming or paddling so I can say I actually swam up Poop Creek. No trail leads to Poop Creek, and a stretch of Road 4210 that once passed over the creek was removed and is now overgrown with vegetation.
The image above may appear to be a meadow, but this is the old Road 4210 at the intersection of a smaller jeep trail, overgrown with vegetation.
